Help - Webcam Viewer

The webcam viewer shows a list of webcams that can be sorted and filtered to find what you want to play.

Press RED (F1) to sort the list by Name or Number

Press GREEN (F2) to filter the list by category.

The default webcam list has two groups of webcams, a full list and a list of just train/railroad webcams. You can switch lists by pressing MENU (M) and choose the Switch WebCam List option.

The default lists are maintained by me and MythQML will pull updates from the MythQML web server. When new or updated webcams are detected and the WebCam Viewer is first shown it will show a popup dialog announcing what the new and updated webcams are.

If you find a webcam that does not work then in the player on the popup menu there is an option to Report Broken WebCam that will anonymously notify me so I can take a look and either fix it or remove it.

How do I find new webcams

Any new webcams will have icon in the top right of the webcam picture. You can also filter the list to show only the new webcams. Press GREEN (F2) Filter the webcam list and choose the New category from the list of categories.

    How do I add/remove a webcam

At the moment the list of webcams are stored in XML files and can't be changed in the user interface. The default lists come from example files stored on the MythQML web server but you can edit your own files and tell MythQML where to find them in the Feed Source settings.

How do I report a broken webcam

In the player on the popup menu there is an option to Report Broken WebCam that will anonymously notify me so I can take a look and either fix it or remove it if it is one of the default webcams.
